A motivational reflection:
This is our assurance that we will be rewarded not as the world rewards:
Helping the 'least ones' by 'feeding them when hungry', 'giving them drink when thirsty', 'welcoming them when strangers', 'clothing them when naked', 'caring for them when sick, 'visiting them when in prison', ... ministering to their needs (cf. Mt 25:31-46), without 'blowing a trumpet for people to see', will be rewarded by the Father who sees 'in secret' (cf. Mt 6:1-4).
The many 'nameless & faceless' most needy people (because we will not know who they are), who will never be able to repay their many 'nameless & faceless' donors (because of our anonymity), can only raise their thankful prayers to the Divine Providence who will surely bestow His bountiful blessings to all those who likewise bless others 'in secret'!
This is an opportunity for us to help the poorest of the poor who have a few or no relatives and friends to help them; they rely solely on charitable humanitarian and Christian aid.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” (Lk 6:32-36)

"We are so wrong to think that we have lived righteous lives by not doing evil alone yet have neglected to do good. Every #MissedOpportunity to do good when able is a #SinOfOmission."
