FIESTA SEÑOR 2025 IN LEICESTER UK

Objectives:

  1. To give honour and tribute to the Infant Jesus and make Him more known and loved by promoting the devotion to Señor Santo Niño de Cebu. In a more practical way, to fundraise by donation envelopes as our ‘Halad kang Señor’ (Offering for our Lord) in the least, lost and last of society channelled through a chosen charitable organisation.
  2. To foster fellowship among devotees and friends through the communal prayers and worship (9-days novena & the feast-eve Solemn Mass) and the celebration of the Sinulog Festival.
  3. To continue to grow in our Christian faith through reading and study of the Scriptures and our Church's teachings during the 9-day novena: both at our virtual communal prayers and through social media evangelisation (Facebook & X posts).
  4. To journey together (synod) both internally and externally to prepare for our grand 25th Anniversary Celebrations (25th Fiesta Señor) in 2026.

Main Theme

SEÑOR SANTO NIÑO,LEAD US IN JOURNEYING TOGETHER TOWARDS YOU,OUR FULLNESS OF LIFE

(Santo Niño Leicester Synod 2023-2026)

“The whole People of God is an agent of the proclamation of the Gospel. Every baptised person is called to be a protagonist of mission since we are all missionary disciples.” (ITC 53) Following the inspiration, lead and example of our Mother Church, we, as a devotional prayer group, a basic ecclesial community, entrusts our own synodal journey of renewal to our Lord and Saviour as we re-commit ourselves to proclaim the Word of God lived by our very own lives and to spread the devotion to Christ (cf. Santo Nino Leicester vision-mission statement).

May this be our prayer:
Señor Santo Niño, as we strive to respond faithfully to do whatever You tell us (Jn 2:5), may we by the grace of the Holy Jubilee 2025 progressively grow to get there together in our holy pilgrimage towards You, our fullness of life (Jn 10:10) so that Your Kingdom may come on earth as it is in heaven.

Amen.
